Assign custom blendshapes
A script is provided that lets you add rudimentary support for non-standard avatars.
The editor window grabs current expression clips and lets you reassign them to your avatar’s blendshapes. It’s simple and may not give optimal results.
Guidelines:
- Make sure all entries are assigned.
- Don’t use blendshapes that are also used in the Avatar Descriptor.
- If a descriptor blendshape (e.g., starting with vrc.) is used, you can break visemes (lipsync).
- If you’re lacking a specific blendshape, reuse a different one in the same slot.
- Don’t put mouth blendshapes in the eye bank slots (and vice versa).
- Bank_Pupil is for pupil size; if you don’t have one, use something similar (avoid breaking blinking).
Note
This feature is forever-experimental; no support is provided. Reimport Expressions Extension to restore the original MMD setup.
